 Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, a place where life has tangibly changed. The streets have become more beautiful, lighter, and cleaner. Passers by have no fear of being assaulted unexpectedly. Criminogenic situation improved simultaneously with the introduction of the patrol police. Central regions are safe for movement late at night too.
By and by the number of entertainments increase as well. If you are a gourmand, you can get acquainted with any kinds of Georgian national dishes tipical for different regions of Georgia without leaving Tbilisi. Tbilisi has been greeting guests for several years by the new airport. The latter serves 1,5 thousand passengers an hour and represents the biggest airport in the region. It is equipped with brand new technique and accordingly, meets the needs of all modern standards. 24 passages and 3 special terminals are functioning. The reconstruction work of the airport cost around 62 million dollars and according to the local administration "is one of the most important investments”.
At the moment flights are executed to almost all parts of the world. It is notable that no visa regime is needed to visit the Ukraine. Accordingly, now representatives of this country can visit Georgia without any problems.

Tbilisi Balneal Resort
The foundation of Tbilisi was greatly conditioned by the thermal-sulphurous waters discovered on the territory by Vakhtang Gorgasali. We know from Strabo, that the information on these waters was available as early as the first century.
 Even then, it was considered strategically important, so the development of resort-related studies began in 1921. Bathing is regarded useful not only because of general hygienic needs, as it is good primarily for our health. It helps joint- and skin-related problems, as well as chronic gynecological, urological and cardiovascular illnesses.
Mostly victims of chronic diseases are treated in the balneal resort. However, perfectly healthy people are welcome too, as nowadays people often have to adjust themselves to highly stressful conditions, so, the place may in fact be rather helpful.
You can apply for spa therapy, which is a kind of an elite resort service and is available to almost all socially able classes. Plain, though but highly healthy baths are also available, and they are relatively cheap at the same time.
The service here includes the following: relaxation (stress relief), health improvement, rejuvenation, body correction by natural means and so forth.
The resort has a diagnostic center equipped with state-of-the-art medical gear (a panoramic exoscopy device, densitometer, spine stretching equipment and so forth).
 Duration of the treatment mainly depends on the type of illness. Generally, the so-called Health Fitness programs may last only one or two days. This depends on the preferences as well as the financial state of the visitor. The resort is also supplied with therapeutic mud from Akhtala and Kumisi, which is useful for treatment of damaged nerves and gynaecologic problems. It has also proved rather effective in the treatment of infertility.
Whereas mountainous or seaside resorts include certain limitations, the balneology resort offers all year round treatment, targeted at specific issues.
Tbilisi Baths
"A great sense of freedom and well-being permeated me. All my tiredness had gone and I felt strong enough to lift a mountain” – wrote Alexander Dumas in 1858 when he visited Tbilisi sulphur baths. The latter possesses not only aesthetic qualities; every guest is taken to the baths as it is a very old and historical site.
The baths consist of several parts and each has its own name. Along the paved hill, highest of all is the Mirzoev’s bath, a bit lower is Bakhmaro. Just as you turn to the baths, the king’s bath draws your attention. Its entrance is beautifully decorated. Here you find Erekle’s Bath and in the end, the so-called "Chreli Abano” (the Motley Bath) decorated with many-coloured mosaic.
Almost all are similar among the listed ones, as everywhere flows the same precious sulphur water. It is most healthy for the people bothered with limbs’ or various kinds of allergic diseases. It has been proved also that the sulphur water positively affects the nervous system.
 Despite all there is a difference between the baths – in the compartments, comfort and prices. For instance, while in the Chreli Abano (motley Bath) you can hire a compartment which is small and plain. Though there is a more expensive one for 20 laris – with more convenient rooms and larger pools. In the compartments for 35 laris you can enjoy sauna as well. The baths are not equipped with training apparatuses, TV-sets, beverages or any similar conveniences as yet. Though, you can move to another baths for all that. The baths are close to each-other, only a few meters separate one from another.
The service of the rubbers, known from time immemorial, has again been included in the service packet. They work individually for gentlemen and ladies. Different rubbers serve the common compartments and the private ones.

 Tbilisi Architecture
Tbilisi has an exceptional architectural character. Most part of the historical Tbilisi consists of 19th century constructions. At the same time, some older buildings like Narikala Fortress, baths, caravanserais, etc are still preserved.
The historic part of the capital offers the viewers a great variety of sights. In 1999 UNESCO international experts assessed Old Tbilisi as an urban monument of unique importance.
The existence of different religious buildings is indicative of the historical tolerance and international charachter of the city. One of the most beautiful places is Queen Darejan’s Palace and the Botanical Garden, built on the site of the ancient gardens in the old city.
Tbilisi’s historical districts are rich in European style of living and public buildings. Their facades stand out as early Renaissance, Gothic, Mauritanian, Baroque and other styles. Several examples of the Georgian medieval architectural forms are also found here.
